A huge project to deal with Covid-19 in Iran

Using the SIB system in the covid control plan

After successfully implementing the SIB system during the Covid pandemic and due to the need felt in this area, Danesh Parsian Company quickly entered the scene and provided valuable and practical measures.

Some of the services provided during this period are as follows:

Screening Service providers at 726:
For the first time In Iran, the telephone number 726 was enforced to create security and calm for the people and to prevent possible abuses. The procedure was as follows: the audience was called at 726, and the screening was recorded and reviewed according to the statements of the audience.

Selected centers:

Unfortunately, during the covid pandemic, the number of non-covid patients referred to medical centers decreased sharply, hence the number of covid patients increased. This led to a greater prevalence of Covid related diseases and a greater need for medical intervention due to delays in seeing a physician. For this purpose, it was decided to set up 16- or 24-hour centers throughout the country for patients and provide services to patients. The activities of all selected centers can be viewed and reported online at sib.behdasht.gov.ir.

hospitals:

The era of the Covid pandemic had increased the risk of contracting the Coronavirus by attending medical and public facilities. Some high-risk patients needed to see doctor developed covid disease in hospitals and public clinics. This was a wake-up call for the country’s health system. Therefore, selected hospitals were introduced to treat covid disease, and a role called “health liaison” was defined. The Integrated Health System (SIB) has provided effective measures in this regard: introduction of the hospital, covid disease status, hospitalization outcome (separated by discharge and need for home care, deceased).

Recoveries:

Due to the limited capacity of hospitals and the increase in the number of patients in need of care or hospitalization, by the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of people who had completed their treatment and needed care during recovery, from other spaces It was operated as a “convalescent home.” Recovery centers were managed after the initial equipment in the integrated health system (SIB) with a health hospital liaison.

Labs:

Developing an integrated laboratory management network structure and providing covid-related services are other measures taken in the SIB system. By enabling the definition and creation of laboratories in the network structure of universities and medical schools and the description of samples and skilled / laboratory expert maps, users can more quickly and accurately have access to the samples taken from the service recipients in the integrated health system (SIB) to register and also to record the results of samples taken by the expert/laboratory expert can be done. All statistics related to the registered samples and the consequences of these tests can be viewed online for the relevant managers and experts.

drug stores:

Another service offered in the SIB system is related to pharmacies. This process is designed so that if the doctor has registered the need for medicine in the form related to the client, the nurse can record the relevant information in the SIB system after delivering the treatment to the person. All information is recorded in the medical records of individuals and is used as a comprehensive background.

Screening of Nowruz travelers 1399

The first Nowruz in the Corona pandemic coincided with severe travel restrictions so that the Coronavirus would not spread and be controlled. Therefore, the list of license plates of vehicles recorded by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development cameras on suburban roads; was given to the Ministry of Health and Medical Education along with the owner information.

This information was uploaded in the SIB system, and according to the national code of the car owner, a list was created for all health workers and health care providers in the whole country. Then, according to the process designed in the SIB system, all car owners were contacted, and Covid-19 disease care forms were completed for the owner and all occupants of the car, and if there were any signs, further actions were taken. If the vehicle was used by someone other than the owner, driver information was obtained and screening measures were applied to that person.

Self-assessment system:

Self-assessment system is a questionnaire is provided to compatriots; by answering it, each person’s physical condition against the Coronavirus is surveyed. If there is a need for follow-up of the health staff for the person, the information is transferred to the SIB system and is provided to the health staff of the person’s place of residence. Also, the follow-up report performed by the health staff can be viewed online to view the relevant managers and experts.

The registration system, notification of guild protocol:

Initially, the protocols were supposed to be physically delivered to the guilds by the National Post Company of the Islamic Republic. However, due to its considerable time and cost and the tedious production and distribution process, these protocols were implemented through the SIB system to get reported to the public and the guilds.

According to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, all managers, owners, and employers were required to refer to the registration system of guilds and industries, and after registering and completing the relevant forms and receiving instructions in their field of activity, according to the protocols of the Ministry Health may reopen their place of business and should publish the two-dimensional barcode received from the site in public view.

Dental clinics registration system to provide services during the corona:

Since it is impossible to receive dental services with masks and observe the social distance, many problems were created for patients in dental offices. To reassure the esteemed clients, dentists should refer to the dental services registration system and register the information of their dental unit.

Survey system for observing health protocols by guilds and dentists:

People are the best observers; For this purpose, a system was designed and implemented to receive public reports on the observance or non-observance of health protocols, which was a practical step towards forcing the guilds to comply with the notified protocols.

Self-assessment system and presenting the certificate of attendance in the national university entrance exam :

Due to the need to hold university entrance exams in person and also to control and prevent the spread of Covid-19 disease, a process was designed and implemented in the SIB system so that all candidates to participate in national exams by referring to the self-assessment system, fill out a form and if they are not suspicious or infected, receive a certificate of participation in the test. People with covid disease also had a unique process that allowed them to take the entrance exam.

Mental health screening system:

One of the problems of quarantine and closure of universities, schools, communities, etc., is the increase of destructive psychological tendencies (such as suicide, depression, etc.), which has become widespread worldwide. To help people’s mental health, the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education has launched a self-assessment system in the field of mental health.

The purpose of launching this system is to empower the general population in the face of the psychological consequences of the Covid and also to guide them to learn self-care methods to maintain and promote mental health. Creating more access to essential mental health services is another goal of this system.

The mental health screening system has three parts, in the first part of which a questionnaire is provided to users. Then, educational tips and tricks to deal with psychological stress (according to the completed questionnaire) are provided to each person.

Face-to-face / on-demand / request-based care system

Due to the prevalence of covid, according to the Ministry of Health, care packages were reviewed, and cares that could be done in absentia was defined as absentee care packages and health liaisons (health caregivers, caregivers-midwives, and health workers) recorded such care by phone and followed up.

With the implementation of this plan, unnecessary traffic to the health unit has been prevented. In addition, many care packages such as asthma, hepatitis, marriage education services, children’s hearing, vaccinations, identification of high-risk elderly, etc., have been done during this period.

Covid-19 National Vaccine Registration System:

Given the production, import, injection, and target population of the vaccine recipient, it was necessary to create a system for managing supply and demand in a comprehensive database. For this purpose, the national registration system of the Covid-19 vaccine was designed and launched in compliance with the approved phases in the National Anti-Corona Headquarters.

Over time, and according to the target population in the age groups, all people were required to register in the system and receive an appointment through the system to be vaccinated. After registration, a text message will be sent to remind people of the exact time and place for the vaccine to be given. The whole queuing process is done automatically according to the registration information of universities / medical schools. The national Covid-19 vaccine registration system also can report online, which will help in future decisions to achieve the desired goals.

Corona Vaccination Centers:

It is possible to create and manage cumulative vaccination centers to automatically schedule and perform corona vaccination in the SIB system and the network structure of universities / medical schools. According to the required facilities and capacities, Covid Vaccination Centers can cover several comprehensive urban or urban/rural health service centers. All of the above information is provided in the SIB system.

Vaccination appointments:

Due to the limited inventory of Corona vaccine and to prevent chaos and crowded vaccine injection queues, the national vaccine injection queuing system was designed and launched. The National Vaccine Scheduling System allows health care network leaders to determine capacities for the cumulative corona vaccination based on the number of vaccines available. The system uses capacities and calendars. The task assigned by the leader automatically invites people waiting for the vaccine to be vaccinated according to the location chosen by the client by sending an SMS.

National vaccine complications registration system:

Corona is an emerging disease whose full extent is not yet known. On the other hand, although the vaccines on the market are safe, they can also have unknown side effects. Vaccine side effects management is one of the tasks that should be recorded and reviewed. After receiving the covid vaccine, if a person has a complication, he can refer to the corona vaccination registration system and report the difficulties caused by receiving the corona vaccine in the relevant form. The list of these complications will be provided to the experts, and their expert opinions will be applied to the following target groups.

Vaccine mobile application:

The need to record information when vaccinating and various issues such as communication system disruptions prompted the Ministry of Health to perform other processes shorter and more efficiently. To this end, with the design and launch of the mobile application, the registration speed increased dramatically, and the overall service delivery time became acceptable. Using the mobile application, it was quickly possible to register the Corona vaccine for the health staff without using a computer and register the vaccine request in both stages.

Electronic Prescriptions:

By implementing prescription and electronic prescription in the SIB system, when the doctor, dentist, and midwife register a prescription for the client’s service; It is possible to view prescriptions electronically in pharmacies, and the service provider can only receive the required medication from the pharmacy with a national card. The list of drugs in the SIB system has been prepared and uploaded according to the standard approved by the Ministry of Health.
